When I was 10 weeks old I went in a bus to a house in Santa Barbara. My mom Dika fed me and took care of me while I was getting bigger. I tried to be very good and smart, but I guess I wasn't good enough, because my mom got tired or didn't want me any more and sent me back on the bus to where I came from. Then I lived with another woman for a lot longer. We went to school together every day - but then she got tired of me too and got a new puppy. So I went all the way back from Utah to San Rafael on a bus again. At the Guide Dog school they wanted me to like all these mean men, but I just wanted to go back to a mommy. So I acted really scared and shy and I guess they didn't like me there either. One day they took my insides out. Then one day I was back on that bus again. This time I went back to my first mom, who seemed happy to see me again. But what a surprise - I wasn't the only dog anymore - she had another dog who had longer hair and was much darker than me. She was very naughty, but lots of fun to play with and jump on. My mom called her Madeleine, which sounds almost like my name - Adeline. I was born in San Rafael, CA on October 25, 2005.
